If I were the historian discoverer, I will not exactly do the same thing as what Diego de Landa did. Because of human’s curiosity, people will love to find out that things are odd, historical, and predictable stuff. Such as the Maya Culture, if I were the one who first find out this place, I will be extremely surprised, even though I don’t really know how important this place was. However, I will try to communicate with other scientists and discuss how to figure out their language first. This stuff has been founded thousand years ago, and nobody knows how exactly it looks like. Unless nowadays, historians use an alternative way to try to let more and more people get there for visitation and rebuild all the other destroyed stones or structures; that was totally a wrong decision making. Instead, I would keep that place alone, I would not care how those people live, or how they dress up, even their language, unless they will not be harmful to any other else. However, since all the scientists found out that was the primary source in the prehistory of the New World which predicted the end of world on exact time, the government started to restructure the place, and they made all those aboriginals had nowhere to live, and that was absolute opposite against my proposes. Because there was one of the oldest cultures in the world so far, I won’t destroy, instead, I would rather keep the original feature for the aboriginals. Also, I would take the responsibility to take care of it, and try to fix most of their problems, but not destroying any of the history that has been set up in the first time.
